Before & After Science
Today never felt like a Monday. The day was good. We now have internet at home and the living room is showing potential. My classroom is getting some life back in it as well.
Going back to school has always been the biggest yearly change. And interesting how I favor Fall over all the other months (although, I'd be open to extending summer break another month).
The truth is I enjoy teaching, but I never feel great about what I do. Sure, I have great days...but lessons and projects take time. Lots of time. I know everyone experiences the same 24 hour cycle as the next...but what a difference it would be to only have to work 40 hours a week and reach a feeling tasting like success! I've put in three extra days in the past week and I still feel behind. But I'm blessed to be at BBS (even if the commute is 38.8 miles).
At the end of the day I will always select a long drive followed by planning creative, thought provoking lessons as opposed to doing some shite desk work in a stank cubicle.
