THIS IS NOT PUNK ROCK!
Just moments ago, I found myself being kicked out of our school's version of an after school music club. The irony to this is just beyond words. Because it wasn't adults giving me the boot, it was a group of preteens. Their leader, a cocky-know-it-all type, wanted to get playing after he had showed several others their parts. He called his brother over to get behind the drum set moments after I had made myself relatively comfortable behind the bass drum. I could tell something was off, as the looks passed back and forth from all 'band members'. I said I wanted to play, and again, the looks passed...but we're more directed at me this time. The leader gave in, and after thirty seconds of shitty guitars and non-Bruce Dickinson cowbell, I was replaced due to "messing up the bass drum part".
I don't think I've ever been so hurt by kids.
