Eleanor's Gift

I first met Eleanor after a show in 2004.  I had read about the Furnaces in a MOJO someone left on a plane.  I don't remember the venue, but Eleanor stole the show.  Her command of the stage was instant and highly enjoyable.  Afterward, I found myself looking at Furnace merchandise.  I commented to Eleanor I had read several great interviews and reviews about her and her brother's band.  She gave a simple nod and held out a sticker and button.  It was my first hipster, music swag.
