The Lake of Ice
We live near a lake of ice
the trees shield us from wind
but not the skies
somedays
the rain heats up our frozen mistakes
Our boots are soaked
and socks not dry
by night,
the ice regains our new attempts
dawn shivers
and cracks
the trees shield us from wind
but not the skies
somedays
the rain heats up our frozen mistakes
Our boots are soaked
and socks not dry
by night,
the ice regains our new attempts
dawn shivers
and cracks
