Extra Sensory Perception

ESP EP
Self-Released

ESP EP opens with 'ESP', a gentle, electro-builder which seems like it would work best paired with 8 bit graphics/visuals.  The gutteral, tribal thrash on 'Wonder Wonder' is a welcomed turn and the vocals seem to work best in this format.  The dirty synth pulse, clicks, and pace on 'Serenade' are spot on, but I wasn't sold vocally until my third listen.  The vocals were fleshed out better on '627' (good use of delay, some echo)...but my attention was generally grabbed by the instrumental flourishes.  On 'Dark Panda' I also, was more inclined to perk up when the synth chorus came in.  'Imaginay World' gets interesting late.  The drum groove at the half way point bounces with purpose and ends reminiscent of the opening track (which is a great touch).  The cover art accompanies the music well; fluid, multi-colored, and with a start and finish in mind.
